Your local electricians, based in Darra
Our office is in Darra, so the suburbs around us are the ones we know best. If you are in Darra, Oxley, Jindalee, Richlands, Sumner, Seventeen Mile Rocks, Mount Ommaney, Corinda, Sherwood, Inala, Wacol or Forest Lake, our electricians are usually only a short drive away.
That matters when you need someone to look at a fault, quote a job onsite or come back to finish off. It also means we have seen most of what the local housing stock can throw at an electrician.
Typical electrical work in the south-west
- Older homes in Darra, Oxley, Corinda and Sherwood – many still run original switchboards with ceramic fuses and limited safety switch protection. A switchboard upgrade and safety switches are among our most common jobs here.
- 1970s and 80s brick homes in Jindalee, Mount Ommaney and Seventeen Mile Rocks – renovations, extra power points, LED lighting upgrades and ceiling fans.
- Newer estates in Forest Lake and Richlands – smoke alarm upgrades to meet Queensland’s interconnected photoelectric requirements, and EV charger installation.
- Industrial and commercial sites in Sumner Park, Wacol, Darra and Richlands – maintenance, switchboard thermal imaging, test and tag and emergency lighting testing.
- Unit complexes – common-area lighting, switchboard compliance and ongoing body corporate electrical maintenance, like our unit complex switchboard upgrade in Sumner Park.
Urgent faults close to home
Power out on one circuit, a safety switch that will not reset, or a burning smell from the switchboard? Being based in Darra helps us get to south-west jobs quickly during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm). See our emergency electrician page for what to do while you wait.
