Did you know that you should change the direction that your fan blades spin based on the season?

Most people are unaware that fans have a switch that can change the direction of the fan blades, depending on if it is summer or winter.

In summer, the fan is used for cooling, so the blades should be spinning in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction. Whereas in winter, the blades are used to bring the warmer air which has risen in the ceiling down to the people below, without creating a cool draft, so are to be set for a CLOCKWISE direction.

Next time the seasons change, have a look at your fan and flick the switch to help make your fan work for you!
