Ceiling fans either come with a remote or not. Remote fans are usually preferred when there is little wall access and can be easily installed. However, the customer must also consider that a remote can get lost or run out of batteries! Before installing a new fan, consider the pros and cons of AC vs DC fans.
DC and AC fans refer to the type of motor used inside a ceiling fan. There are a few differences between AC and DC fans which can impact upon the one you decide is better for your home or office.
When deciding on an air conditioner, consider the size and usage of the room. Usually a bedroom only requires a 2.5 – 3kw system, whereas an open planned lounge and dining room may need a 7 – 8kw system. Still unsure? 3 phase power is installed when the maximum demand of a building exceeds 80amps or more, however is also a requirement for the use of electrical equipment which require this type of power – eg motors, ducted air-conditioning and rural water pumps.
