How many data points do I need?
Plan one or two per desk, one behind each TV or console, and one for each ceiling access point. It is far cheaper to add spare points now than to retrofit them later.
Can you cable an existing home without making a mess?
Usually, yes. We run cables through roof spaces and wall cavities and install flush wall plates. Double-brick and slab-ceiling homes need more planning, which we explain on site.
Do you install Wi-Fi equipment too?
We install and cable ceiling access points, switches and cabinets. We can work with your IT provider or recommend suitable hardware for your space.
Can you help with my NBN connection?
We can prepare your property: lead-in conduits, connection box positions, power points and moving the modem location into a central cabinet. The NBN connection itself is booked through your provider.
Is data cabling regulated?
Yes. Customer cabling must be installed by a registered cabler and comply with the Australian cabling standard. It also needs to be separated correctly from electrical wiring.
