Switchboard Upgrade for complex in Toowong

A custom switchboard upgrade was recently completed at a 23-unit apartment complex in Toowong, addressing critical safety and compliance issues.

A switchboard upgrade usually comprises of the replacement of existing enclosure, circuit protection and electricity meter paneling into a new metallic housing that is compliant to the current standards (AS3000:2018).  The existing switchboard had fallen short of current standards, prompting a full replacement with a custom-built board tailored to the building’s unique layout and load requirements. 
For this particular project, it also involved safe removal of asbestos, discovered during the initial inspection, ensuring the site met modern health and safety regulations.

This comprehensive overhaul not only restored compliance but significantly enhanced the safety and reliability of the building’s electrical system.
