Switchboard Relocation and Upgrade – After the Brisbane Floods.

Our client reached out to us to have their unit’s switchboard upgraded & relocated as the existing switchboard had been under water twice during the last two Brisbane floods in 2011 and 2022. Both events caused extensive power outages at the complex, and the bodies corporate decided to move the switchboard out of the flood zone.

The relocation was challenging due to the proposed location of the switchboard and the design of the building. X-ray scanning and core drilling of slabs were required for the installation of new cable pathways to the main switchboard. As the new switchboard was near the building entrance, a custom colour was provided to match the existing colour of the walls of the building.

The power outage during the changeover was limited to 12 hours only, due to the quality workmanship and experience of the technical team. We are proud to have another satisfied customer!
