Commercial Switchboard Upgrade – Banyo

A commercial switchboard in Banyo was deemed as an electrical safety risk due to its condition, age and non-compliance aspects, and therefore needed to be upgraded to meet the current electrical standards.

Over a few days, our specialist electrical team was able to remove the existing switchboard and fuses/breakers, plus supply and install a new lockable weatherproof switchboard to house all metres and circuit breakers in accordance with Energex QEMM requirements. The new switchboard included an upgraded main isolator and installation of new main earthing. In addition, basic surge protection was installed protecting sub circuits from voltage spikes. The client is now confident that the switchboard’s capacity and safety are operating at the high standard they should be.
